The Enterprise Zone

The City has a State designated Enterprise Zone which allows for the abatement of ad valorem Property Taxes attributable to construction or renovation of industrial or commercial buildings. The purchase of building materials, within the corporate limits, will be exempt from Sales Tax. Building Permit fees are reduced 50% for industrial and commercial projects.

State incentives, for projects within the Enterprise Zone, may include Utility Tax Exemptions, Investment Tax Credits, Jobs Tax Credits, Income Tax Deductions and Machinery-Equipment/Pollution Control Sales Tax Exemptions.
